Planner Days 2010 at MWM
Mannheim, April 27, 2010
The Planner Days 2010 were recently held by invitation of the manufacturer MWM in Mannheim, Germany. About 50 engineers and planners from the fields of renewable energy, contracting, and CHP plant planning attended the two-day event, which was held for the second time.
In addition to the latest company information, this year’s event particularly featured several specialized lectures on subjects such as the efficiency of CHP plants, CHP legislation, efficiency increase of gas engines, and the implementation of the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. The subject of “grid connection conditions – requirements of new grid codes in Germany and other countries”, which was presented by Dr. Christian Blome, attracted a lot of attention and lead to lively, constructive discussions after the lecture.
Under the motto “everything under one roof”, MWM also presented a revised container product line. This complete turnkey system combines efficiency and maintainability and will be available from May onward.
“This convention is very important to us because it contributes to the exchange of experience and enables the presentation of industry and company-specific contents”, explains Steffen Prieske, sales engineer, who played a major role in organizing the MWM Planner Days. The participants were very satisfied with the event and were especially impressed by the high quality of the individual lectures.
Apart from a visit to Mannheim’s planetarium, the new MWM documentary “60 MW around the world” was shown to the planners. The last part of the event consisted of a tour of the Mannheim plant. Due to the success, the next Planner Day has already been scheduled for May 2011, as reported by the company.
