New Variant of TCG 3020 Series with 2 MW Electrical Output
Mannheim, November 3, 2022
The lineup of the MWM TCG 3020—the all-rounder among MWM gas engines—has been supplemented with a new variant. To offer MWM customers an even broader range of gas engines, MWM has launched the TCG 3020 V20 gas engine in the 2 MWel segment. The unit is suitable for all natural gas and biogas applications in countries with 50-Hz grids. The TCG 3020 V20 (2MW) gas engine is available in three configurations.
In the PV configuration (natural gas), the gas engine is optimized for high electrical efficiency under maximum performance. In the RV configuration (natural gas), the TCG 3020 V20 (2MW) offers a high total efficiency under maximum performance. The XV configuration (biogas) is designed for optimized operation with all types of biogas under maximum performance. The TCG 3020 V20 (2MW) gas engine is suitable for parallel and island-mode operation. Additionally, the engine can also be used for container operation.
Optimized for Electrical Output of 2 MW, Smooth Operation, High Efficiency
In the PV configuration for natural gas applications, the TCG 3020 V20 (2MW) has been optimized for a high electrical efficiency of up to 44.4 percent and a total efficiency of up to 87.7 percent under high performance. The RV configuration for natural gas applications boasts a high total efficiency of 87.9 percent. The TCG 3020 V20 2MW gas engine also delivers compelling performance in biogas applications: In the XV configuration, which is optimized for operation with all types of biogas, the total efficiency under maximum performance is up to 84.7 percent.
The All-Rounder MWM Gas Engine TCG 3020: Flexible Deployment, Efficient Operation
The optimized engine variants of the MWM TCG 3020 offer optimum conditions for outstanding efficiency, high flexibility, and various setup conditions. The versatility in terms of application options and gas types makes the series a genuine all-rounder among the MWM gas engines. Combined with the optional engine and plant control TPEM (Total Plant & Energy Management), the full performance can be utilized with maximum reliability and availability in various application areas.
