New Office Location in Almaty: MWM Expands Activities and Customer Service in Central Asia
Schwaz, August 9, 2024
In the strictest sense, Central Asia comprises Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan and is home to approximately 80 million people spread over an area of about 4 million km2. Thanks to extensive modernization measures and a positive economic setting, the region has experienced sustained growth for many years, making it an extremely attractive market. To perpetuate the positive economic trend, a modern, reliable energy supply that is cost-efficient and flexible is a must. As modern energy solutions with gas engines are also required to perform complex tasks such as grid stabilization, a smooth process from the customer contact to the commissioning and beyond is of critical importance. In this context, straightforward communication, short response times, and more on-site presence play a key role. With its new office in Kazakhstan, MWM is set to improve these factors significantly.
Closer to MWM Customers in Central Asia
With its population of about two million, Almaty is Kazakhstan’s largest city. Though the city, which is located in the southeast of the country, is further away from Europe than other major cities in the region, there are several factors that make the location an ideal hub. Almaty is home to Kazakhstan’s largest airport, with quick and easy links to all major domestic destinations. Moreover, Uzbekistan’s capital Tashkent is only a 1.5-hour flight away. Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan’s capital, is only 200 km away.
The new MWM office is located on the 9th floor of the Green Tower Business Center, in the heart of Almaty’s business district. The office in Almaty will serve as a base for customer meetings, training, and marketing activities and will greatly contribute to the implementation of distributed MWM energy solutions with combined heat and power (CHP) plants and trigeneration power plants (CCHP) in the region.
Active Support for MWM Distributors and Customers in Central Asia
The new MWM office in Kazakhstan will be headed by Arman Mukanov. Drawing on his long-standing experience in the field of energy supply in Central Asia, Mukanov will leverage his expertise to act as a link between the customers and the departments of MWM Austria. In addition to participating in local trade fairs and seminars, he will especially support the sale of new products as well as the project management and service. This will include active support for distributors and customers in the region, forwarding of customer inquiries to the relevant departments, and the provision of information about MWM gas engines and energy systems.
MWM Austria is looking forward to the coming years and to working with Arman Mukanov. The new arrangement will enable MWM to expand its activities and roll out its projects in Central Asia even more systematically in order to further increase the customer service in the region.
