New MWM training workshop
High-level knowledge transfer
In 2012, MWM opened a modern training workshop in order to provide future apprentices with an even better learning environment. To set up a state-of-the-art workshop, the company invested about €1.7 million in new machinery and the modernization of the building. The training workshop is used for the technical training of the apprentices and students on integrated degree programs and also serves as a protected space for autonomous learning. On the occasion of his visit to the MWM plant in Mannheim, Doug Oberhelman, the then-Executive Chairman and CEO of Caterpillar Inc., inaugurated the new training workshop and delivered a speech to the 42 apprentices, the trainers, and executives.
