150 Years of Continuous Innovation: MWM Celebrates 150th Anniversary
Pioneer Spirit and Progress Since 1871
In 2021, MWM celebrated its 150th anniversary. In 1871, automotive pioneer Carl Benz had founded his “Mechanische Werkstätte” in Mannheim, Germany, laying the foundation for “Motoren-Werke Mannheim A.-G.” and today’s MWM brand. To duly celebrate this special anniversary, a number of campaigns were planned and rolled out during the year. For example, the company released a hardcover book featuring the history and development of the MWM brand and the video “150 Years MWM – 150 Years of Continuous Innovation”, which subsequently won an award. On the occasion of the anniversary, numerous posts about the brand’s history also appeared in the MWM Facebook and LinkedIn channels, garnering a lot of positive feedback from the community. In 2021, after 150 years, MWM thus looked back on an eventful history full of innovation, development, and progress, which has yielded powerful MWM gas engines and products that continue to be marketed from the traditional location Mannheim to the entire world.
