Indonesia: Fourteen MWM TCG 2020 V20 Gas Engines Counteract Power Bottlenecks
Mannheim, January 30, 2017
In the past, the inhabitants of Riau Province regularly suffered power outages and energy bottlenecks. To solve this problem, 14 MWM TCG 2020 V20 gas engines were installed and commissioned on site in early 2016 by order of the Indonesian electricity provider PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara. Each of the power gensets has a capacity of 2 MWel. Parallel operation is possible. The gensets continually generate decentralized power and heat energy.

Customer in Indonesia Convinced by MWM Gas Engines
Apart from ensuring reliable power supply, the Rawa Minyak CHP plant reduces energy generation costs, as the available resources are used more efficiently and the power generated by the distributed system delivers various new income opportunities. These were the main factors that convinced the customer PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara, a local public electricity provider, and the project developer PT Wijaya Karya Tbk to roll out the CHP project with the Indonesian MWM partner PT Euroasiatic Jaya.
