“CHP Plant of the Year 2012” with MWM gas engines

The Hetlingen sewage plant’s combined heat and power (CHP) unit recieved the award “CHP plant of the year 2012” by the German trade magazine Energie & Management. The project has already been honored “CHP plant of the month October 2012”.

The four CHP modules at the cogeneration plant are run by four MWM TCG 2020 V12 gas engines. The gas engines are characterized by their outstanding electrical and thermal efficiency at low operating cost and can be powered with all types of gas like biogas, coal mine gas, landfill gas or sewage gas.
