Saiham Cotton Mills Ltd. manufactures auto-coned, electronically cleared, carded, and combed cotton yarn. The production capacity amounts to 15,480,000 kg of yarn/year from 82,080 spindles. In 2017, the Saiham Group decided to replace the previous engines with one MWM TCG 2020 V16K and six MWM TCG 2020 V20 gas engines. The new MWM gas engines were installed by MWM distributor Kaltimex Energy Bangladesh (Pvt.) Ltd and deliver 13.5 MW, i.e., 4.5 MW more energy, from the same amount of gas. The 13.5-MW power plant with MWM gas engines also assists the Saiham Group in covering the global demand of textile manufacturers.
