The existing MWM engines were supplemented by two TCG 2032 V16 in 2003 and four in 2015. Using trigeneration, 23.6 MW of electricity, 8.7 MW of heat, and 5.3 MW of cold are produced and used to supply buildings and hangars. Part of the plant is used as emergency power system in order to restore the energy supply of the landing lights within seconds. Moreover, 5 MWel of emergency power must be made available within 15 seconds.
