The project at the GaoAnTun landfill started in 2007 with the installation of one TCG 2016 V12B unit with an output of 537 kWel. Due to the good experience made with this genset, the customer decided to install another three MWM gensets in 2008 and 2009, thereby expanding his plant to 2,874 kWel.
