MWM Benelux Installs Two TCG 2016 V16 Gas Engines for the Biogas Plant of a Belgian Provider for the Effective Utilization of Biowaste
Mannheim, May 25, 2016
MWM Benelux BV Rotterdam concluded a contract for the installation of two biogas engines with the Belgian waste treatment provider IVVO, which has already operated a biogas plant in Ypres since 2003. Previously, however, the plant had been powered by four 335-kW MAN engines with a total capacity of 1,340 kW. After 13 years, these were replaced by two MWM TCG 2016 V16 gas engines with a capacity of 600 kW and 800 kW, respectively. The MWM gas engines thus consume the same amount of biogas as the replaced engines, but generate 7 percent more power.
