MWM CHP Plant with Two TCG 2032 Gas Engines Ensures Reliable Power Supply in Russian Gas Processing Plant in Orenburg
Mannheim, March 21, 2016
A CHP plant powered by two MWM gas engines will shortly be installed in Orenburg, Russia. On behalf of Orenburgneft, a subsidiary of Rosneft, the region’s largest oil and gas producer, an order has been placed with MWM for two TCG 2032 V16 gas gensets with a capacity of 4.3 MWel each.
The Pokrovskaya gas processing plant, which is operated by Orenburgneft, is situated in Orenburg, approximately 1,500 km southeast of Moscow on the border to Kazakhstan. In Pokrovskaya, associated petroleum gas from the Pokrovskoye and Sorochinsko-Nikolskoye oil fields is processed for further used and subsequently fed into the Russian gas transport system. Thanks to the two MWM gas gensets, the Pokrovskaya gas processing plant will henceforth be able to produce its own energy, thereby cutting its power costs by approximately 37 percent. Furthermore, the CHP plant ensures reliable power supply ? an aspect that must not be taken for granted in this part of Russia.
More information on the plant is provided in the following report by Orenburg TV, TV Planet Ltd. (in Russian):
