MWM Service Point in Erfurt Celebrates 20-Year Anniversary and is Converted to Service Center

The MWM Service Center Erfurt of Caterpillar Energy Solutions GmbH is celebrating a special birthday, and as a birthday present of sorts, it is being significantly upgraded within the worldwide service network. The location, which was established back in 1995 as a service point with three employees in a leased office in Mittelhäuser Strasse 76–79, now offers a comprehensive service portfolio.

The Service Center today has over 250 square meters of office space and 400 square meters for a workshop and warehouse. The team now consists of 25 employees who handle over 200 cogeneration power plants (CHP) for distributed power generation in Thuringia, Saxony and parts of Saxony-Anhalt and Brandenburg.
Ingolf Greifenhagen has headed up the Service Center Erfurt from the very beginning. “We are perfectly poised to continue to offer our customers high-quality service with original parts. I have always been convinced that it is best to grow with our customers, and we will continue to do so,” says Greifenhagen, who established the Erfurt location and has been instrumental in spearheading its growth ever since.

He added: “In the future, the Service Center will be offering its customers all services from one single source, which means a significant strengthening of the location.”
