MWM Benz RH 40 diesel engines made in the USA
Operating instructions and spare parts list with great attention to detail
In 1925, the Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company in Franklin, Pennsylvania, acquired the license to build MWM Benz RH 40 diesel engines. A 32-page instruction manual with spare parts list prepared by CP in 1927 shows the enormous effort made for this product. Every part of the engine, no matter how small, was listed with a part number.
Compared to the lists prepared by MWM for the same diesel engine, the CP spare parts lists featured a much better identification of the individual engine parts.
