Family Day at the Mannheim site

In July 2023, the Caterpillar Energy Solutions Family Day was held on the Mannheim premises. About 3,000 people visited the event to get a glimpse behind the scenes of the traditional MWM brand. The visitors thoroughly enjoyed the colorful program. Apart from guided tours of the engine museum and tours of the production facilities, the Oliv Theater from Mannheim staged a play about Bertha Benz, who, with her legendary trip from Mannheim to Pforzheim in 1888 first proved the suitability of the patent motorcar invented by Carl Benz for everyday use. A Benz motorcar was presented on the factory premises for the visitors to view. Other program highlights included a quiz on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the MWM brand, golf training, a program for kids, and several BBQ stations with delicious treats for young and old.
